Five people are hospitalized after shooting incident in a convenience store in Colorado
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO: Five people were hurt during a shooting incident on Tuesday night on Feburary 21 at a convenience store in Colorado Springs, according to police. The non-life-threatening wounds suffered by the five victims of the shooting were treated at the hospital.
The tragedy happened at the Alta Convenience Store shortly after 7 pm. The location is close to Palmer Park Blvd. and Potter Dr. It's unclear at this point whether anyone has died as a result of the shooting or whether there are any other victims, as per first reports.

Police initially suspected two groups of people were involved in the incident, which they believe began near Palmer Park Boulevard and Murray. It is thought that several shots were fired after a physical altercation between the two groups. It's unclear whether a single person or a group of people fired the shots, as reported by KKTV.
Although the motive is currently unknown, Colorado Springs Police believe that minors may be involved. There is also no information about whether the shooting was gang-related. No one has been taken into custody, as of yet. One witness said they heard around 30 gunshots, as reported by KOAA.
Police are looking into the 'significant incident'
Early on Wednesday morning, Feb 22, police were still in the area looking into a "significant incident." To obtain surveillance footage, the police are collaborating with the shop. Non emergency issues should wait until we return to normal operations. We are also accident alert at this time." Detectives are on the scene gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses. The suspects and a potential reason are currently unknown. The general public has been urged to stay away, as reported by FoxNews.

A mass shooting took place at Club Q, an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on November 19–20, 2022. Twenty-five people were hurt, 19 by gunfire and five were killed. Anderson Lee Aldrich, the defendant, 22, was also injured and taken to a nearby hospital, Aldrich was charged and placed under house arrest, as reported by NewYork Times. Club Q opened in 2002 and is situated in the 3430 block of North Academy Boulevard. It was once the only LGBTQ club in Colorado Springs, the state's second-largest city with just under 500,000 residents, as reported by KCRA.
