The writer and producer of Disney+ series 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series', Tim Federle is the newest on Twitter to be canceled as a few alleged sexual allegations against him have come to light.

The American author and screenwriter is being called out on Twitter as a petition was started on Change.org urging Disney to fire him after a few revealed that Federle allegedly sexually harassed them. One of the accusations against him states that he allegedly tried kissing an 18-year-old boy forcefully at his hotel room after an SBCWI conference years ago. The alleged victim has said in the petition, “He (Federle) expressed his interest in my book and invited me to his room to go over my query letter. I was 18 and starry eyes because he was a respected author for kids. When i arrived at his room and got out my laptop, he closed it and began kissing me.”

On learning about Federle’s alleged sexual misconduct with minors, many have taken to Twitter to cancel him. Using #firetimfederle, twitter users have expressed their concern over Federle working with children calling him a “pedophile”.  While one of them wrote, "It's not surprising that disney hired yet another pedophile to work for them. tim federle needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY. he should not be allowed to work around minors. disney seriously needs to start protecting their f**king CHILD actors. #firetimfederle”

Another added, “Yeah but giving some whack ass apology shouldn’t Safe his career either. Because I assure you the cast has seen this and they shouldn’t feel uncomfortable at their work space so the only solution is him getting fired #firetimfederle." Meanwhile, several internet users have slammed Disney for not doing its due diligence by running a background check on its show creators before hiring them. One wrote, “So does disney even do background checks or do they just not give a f*ck #firetimfederle”

Another tweet read, “Disney is a channel aimed towards children, allowing a predator to work on a show with minors is not only disgusting and unacceptable but unsafe for those on set #firetimfederle.”
