Spoilers for 'Filthy Rich' Episode 9 'Romans 12:21'

In the penultimate episode of FOX's Southern Gothic dramedy, fans finally got to see the villain get cast away. With Antonio's son missing, everyone from the Monreaux family kicks up their gears to help find him. Jesus was kidnapped by the zealot, Hagamond Sheen (Thomas Francis Murphy) who believes that he's bringing the prophecy to fruition.

Sheen was one of Reverend Paul Luke Thomas' (Aaron Lazar) henchmen, and in some ways, the pastor is responsible for bringing the evil that Sheen is close to the Monreaux family.

The beginning of the episode saw Paul tell Margaret Monreaux (Kim Cattrall) that he would help with Jesus's kidnapping and is willing to go on air when she says so. She tells him, to everyone's relief, "you're canceled Paul" and ends up firing him. He threatens her that if he leaves, his followers leave with him but she tells him she pities those that do follow up.

"'You’re canceled, Preacher.' YESSSSS MARGARET!!!! CANCEL HIS A**!! I love how unafraid she’s become. The character growth from everybody this season >>> #FilthyRichFOX," wrote one fan.

Unfortunately for Paul and fortunately for us, he doesn't get a redemption story. Hagamond finds him and shoots him. When we say, we couldn't be happier, we're not exaggerating — he was the worst character to ever cross the Monreaux family.

"Welp. Good riddance, Paul. Burn in hell. Hallelujah and Amen. You had a nice run. #FilthyRichFOX," wrote one fan. Another added, "This crazy motherfricker just shot Paul!  ...thanks crazy motherfricker.  #FilthyRichFOX"

Paul has used the Bible to manipulate so many people throughout his run as a pastor. Fans couldn't help engage with the irony in the way he died. "It's the way Hagamond used the Bible against Paul for me. Ah... Christianity on full display. Everyone has a different interpretation. #FilthyRichFOX," wrote one fan. Another added, "But not these two. Hagamond gives Paul a #TheReasonYouSuckSpeech before killing him. #FilthyRichFOX"

Even more ironically, as Hagamond took Jesus to a bus stop, Rachel (Aqueela Zoll) who was going to Vegas sees them, hits Hagamond and takes Jesus back. Hagamond tried to run behind them but got hit by the car that Eugene was in — talk about a miracle!

"Eugene running into Hagamond at just the right time is a true miracle  #FilthyRichFOX," wrote one fan. So we lost two evils in just 30 minutes of the episode. What's the ending going to bring us?

Episode 10, the series finale airs on Monday, November 30, at 9 pm ET on FOX.
