Spoilers for 'Filthy Rich' Episode 6 'Hebrews 9:15'

This episode of the only season of 'Filthy Rich' sees Eric Monreaux take a stand against the "bad guys" aka powerful men of the1820. His mother had put Eric in charge of the company's mission efforts, the bayou missions, and so Eric oversees the progress every day. Interestingly, since the audience is the only one that knows that his father Eugene Monreaux isn't dead, it wasn't a surprise for us to see him working as part of the crew. His identity to his fellow crew members is unknown and he easily escapes his son's gaze but looking away. As part of these missions, Eric finds out the corruption when it comes to money and the Monreaux family, making him wonder if he'll ever shed the corruption off his identity because he shares the Monreaux last name. When he finds out, he tries to right things of course, but we all know how powerful 1820 is - is Eric's life in danger?

While at the mission area working, Eric gets a note from the child who had earlier shown him the mess that her family's apartment was. While we know it was a note from Eugene, Eric has no idea. The note read, "A gift for Eric…Thelma, Erika, Marilyn, Ophelia." Later, Eugene's son finds out that the names on the note refer to the names of the hurricanes that had destroyed the area that Eric is now working on. He found out that the donations that were made to help the people and their homes in the area were not used for that purpose at all. It was, instead, used to increase the amount of cash in the company's bank account. Being Eric's father, Eugene was banking on his son's good-natured soul, in that he would do the right thing with his information.

Later in the episode, when we see Reverend Paul, Eric's brother-in-law trying to assure Townes, his partner in various crimes that there will be a way to make their plans work, they are interrupted by a very upset Eric. Eric threatens Townes, telling him that he will kill him if he comes around Sunshine Network again. After Townes left, Eric spared nothing when it came to Paul. He yelled, "The missions have been failing for decades – decades – and yet somehow Monreaux Unlimited turns a profit year after year. How is that?” Eric makes it clear that he knows that the1820, especially Paul, were profiting of all the disasters the area had faced and wants nothing to do with the corruption. In that same breath though, Eric did get some positive news when Paul warns Eric, that his mother Margaret must never know of this. This way, Eric finds out that his mother, at least in this sense, was innocent. She knew nothing.

While we want to think that Paul - given how much he's tried to groom Eric into taking on a role in the family business - will let Eric off the leash, we don't think this will happen. Not to mention Townes is dead, and Paul is a witness to Eric threatening Townes. We've seen how the 1820 have terrorized people, especially women, into succumbing into their nasty plans and Eric is a weak and vulnerable target - they might want him quiet and there's only one assured way of doing that. Paul doesn't seem to have a remorseful bone in his body, and we think sparing Eric revenge isn't in his plans.

Episode 7 airs on Monday, November 9, at 9 pm ET on FOX.
