Fight Like A Girl: Daniel Bryan tells Bella twins nip slips make for juicy gossip but take away from the hard work

A wardrobe malfunction is a distraction. Imagine trying to tackling a raging opponent while fixing your top? Tough, right?

Currently signed to WWE, Daniel Bryan recently suffered a wardrobe malfunction. He had an interesting take on what it means for a female wrestler to suffer a clothing mishap in the ring and how it's a completely different experience for the opposite gender.

Women are often assessed on the clothes they wear - good, bad, ugly. They are judged, no matter what. And when you add a nip slip or a crackcident to the mix, it only gets worse. The comments start to pour in, more so when you're facing a crowd on or offline.

Speaking on The Bella Twins' podcast, Daniel said that for women things get overly sexualized. "And I think it’s because whenever it happens to women, it gets overly sexualized, right? And then so it’s like, ‘Ooh, I saw this’ or whatever like that … I think that’s the difference, is because people sexualize it for you guys," he elaborated and that's not far from the truth given the endless discussions that have happened over the years about WWE female superstars accidentally exposing their intimate parts during an intense fight.

From an invested WWE fan to a casual sports lover, everyone loves a good chat about it because it's so scandalous and makes for juicy goss, but at what cost? Sure, it fills up our empty hours but the wrestlers have to deal with a lot more than we can even imagine.

A wardrobe malfunction is a distraction. Imagine trying to tackling a raging opponent while fixing your top? Tough, right? Becky Lynch knows all about it. Last year at the Royal Rumble, she was left embarrassed and struggling after one of her breasts slipped out of the top she was wearing. It cost her a title and a lot of chaos on social media.

Those precious words used on the internet to discuss how her top went down could have been replaced with lines about how much of a tough fight she put up. But, there's still time before we can get to that.

Interestingly, Charlotte Flair has been in the same boat too with her butt exposed in a fight with Lana at Air Canada Centre, 2017. She didn't lose the fight that day but was fully aware that a part of her clothing was not where it should be. Lana had accidentally pulled down her tights, which resulted in scores of pictures and videos that went viral online. But, she laughed it off with Becky backstage, said she wanted to give Toronto a good show.

Sasha Banks is familiar with the topic of wardrobe malfunction. She experienced it and how. Last year, during her main event tag team match, Sasha's pants got pulled during a tackle move. Even though the network discontinued telecast for a few seconds, internet trolls were able to get hold of pictures that were widely shared online.

Later, wrestler Scott Dawson poked fun how his trunks fell off too but nobody talked about it. “Guys, my trunks fell down and exposed my butt two weeks ago on Raw and no one said ANYTHING!.”

Which brings us to the thought Daniel shared how people tend to over sexualize everything when it comes to women wrestlers. It might make for a sensational headline or a juicy chat by the coffee machine, it really takes the hard work and dedication away from these wrestlers who have made a name for themselves by polishing their talent and pushing limits.

Charlotte, Sasha, Becky, Brie and Nikki Bella will be soon be seen in Quibi's new show 'Fight Like A Girl,' in which the said WWE superstars and their peers will mentor up and coming wrestling talent, helping them overcome their shortcomings and challenges that stand in their way to achieving success.
