At the end of the Season 6 premiere, Morgan (Lennie James) slays a psychotic bounty-hunter despite a grave bullet injury in his chest and delivers a cold message to Virginia (Colby Minfie). He lets her know that the plan failed with this stirring line: "Morgan Jones is dead. You're dealing with someone else now."

Morgan seems to have turned to the West for his attire as well, and is wearing a hat at the end of the episode. Not just this, he has a new weapon of choice: An ax. Fans are quite intrigued by his new avatar and keep drawing comparisons to Rick Grimes, the man who was the pillar of the original 'TWD' series, though we haven't heard of him for a long time.

"Morgan channeling Rick Grimes with that hat and that horse #FearTWD," one fan pointed out.

"With what Morgan is going through it’s giving me the same energy like what happened to Rick. Also the ax scene.. wow. #FearTWD," another noted.

"Why does everyone look like comic book Rick Grimes, nowadays? Aaron. Now, Morgan. #FearTWD," another fan believed.

In the premiere of Season 6, Morgan finds himself trying to survive a bullet injury as well as avoiding being killed by a bounty hunter, sent by Virginia. At the end of Season 5, we saw that Morgan had been shot, and was left to be devoured by Walkers. However, as he later explains to his acquaintance Isaac, the last thing he remembers is gunshots. Someone saved him, stitched him up and then left a letter behind for him. Will we have to wait till the end of the season to find out who the mysterious guardian angel is? Many fans are sure that it's Sherry, while others pray it's Madison, who hasn't been seen on the show for a long time.

Morgan has set off on his journey as a new man, and fans hope he reunites with Grace (Karen David) soon. The group has been split up, but hopefully, not for too long.

Tune into 'Fear The Walking Dead' on Sundays on AMC at 9 pm.
