Dick Wolf’s ‘FBI Most Wanted’, similar to his other Law & Order series, has managed to keep the attention of viewers intact by shedding light on certain socially relevant issues while retaining its signature entertainment factors.

Episode 3, titled ‘Hairtrigger’, focuses on the much-talked-about issue of gun violence through the eyes of Doug Timmons (Charlie Tahan). Timmons is a school shooting survivor who has been actively giving anti-government talks.

However, under the influence of his half-sister, Timmons goes from being an enabler to a co-conspirator when one of his plans goes terribly wrong and he ends up killing two cops, a commoner and his partner-in-crime Mike.

The rest of the episode sees the FBI track down Timmons and concludes with Jess LeCroix (Julian McMahon) talking the former out of committing yet another felony by shooting himself in the head to send out a strong message about the government's inadequacy in tackling a rampant issue.

While some fans, on watching the latest episode, termed it "intense", the rest have voiced their concern over living in an unsafe world.

“This episode of #FBIMostWanted hits a little too close to home,” wrote one.

Another fan expressed, “Oh my god! How is killing a bunch of people going to stop school shootings? #FBIMostWanted”

The episode also showcased the issue from LaCroix’s standpoint, not as an FBI Agent, but as a father genuinely worried about his school-going daughter. Several fans have tweeted about his touching dialogue from tonight’s episode, which goes, “Is that what it is like to be a kid at school these days?”

Meanwhile, another fan raved about the latest episode by tweeting, “And, we have just witnessed another great episode of #FBIMostWanted with top notch acting. Drama, intensity, and humor... perfect combination! Thank you @FBICBS for bringing this show into my life!”
