Spoilers for 'Fatal Seduction' Episode 5

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The plot is getting thicker and thicker as ‘Fatal Seduction’ progresses, and episode 5 further confirms that notion. What started out as a lustful love affair has turned into a suspicious mix of lies and deceit that can be stretched back to a decade ago. While the focus of 'Fatal Seduction' was primarily on Nandi and Jacob, now, the secrets between them are bigger than their love and lust.

'Fatal Seduction' Episode 5 gives us a deeper insight into the events that started a decade ago, and how they impact the current events including Brenda’s murder. It looks like there are some answers, and a few more questions after 'Fatal Seduction' Episode 5, but it has been a gripping episode nonetheless.

Who was Pokeboi?

Nandi’s daughter, Zinhle, had begun texting a stranger online and quickly formed a connection with this person. Of course, this person knew everything about Zinhle and her life, but that wasn’t the case the other way around. During Nandi and Leonard’s anniversary, the suspicion was planted that Jacob might be this stranger, calling himself ‘Pokeboi’ and 'Fatal Seduction' Episode 5 has officially confirmed this suspicion, but Zinhle continues to remain in the dark.

Zinhle’s friends tracked down Pokeboi’s location, which led her to Jacob’s garage and she confronted him head-on. He was quick to deny it all, and very confidently, which could also mislead the audience. Zinhle was smart to give the phone number a call, but Jacob was faster to turn the phone off under the desk before the call could come through. In addition, Jacob has now established trust with Zinhle, which only makes him look worse as far as the viewer’s perspective goes.

Did Jacob kill Brenda?

If there is one person who is invested in finding out the truth about Brenda, it is Vuyo, Leonard’s brother. Vuyo finally gets his hands on the footage from the day Brenda died, and despite it being hours and hours long, he gets through them all. So, while Jacob makes his way to Nandi and Leonard’s house, Vuyo finds out that Jacob had indeed returned to Brenda’s house, and left without a belt, which was potentially the same one found on the crime scene.

As far as Vuyo is concerned, Jacob is the killer, but once again, there is a lot more than what meets the eye. While Jacob has raised several suspicions over the five episodes of 'Fatal Seduction,’ could he really be the one who killed Brenda? Or did Jacob simply go back to the house to meet Nandi? There are still too many questions, and hopefully, the rest of the Netflix show is prepared to answer them all.

You can now stream 'Fatal Seduction' on Netflix.
