At the beginning of 'Fargo' Season 4, Episode 8, we see Josto Fadda (Jason Schwartzman) return to Joplin's from meeting with Dessie's father who is expected to win the upcoming elections and he comes face to face with Gaetano Fadda (Salvatore Esposito) but he looks as if he saw a ghost. Of course, his shock makes sense, considering how he had expected Loy Cannon (Chris Rock) to take the bait that he had set up in the previous episode. Instead, Loy did one better and decided to tell Gaetano how Josto had set his brother's death up by killing Loy's son. He then let Gaetano go, to the Italian's surprise.

So bruised and beaten, Gaetano approached Josto and made it seem as if he would do Loy's work for him. However, Josto is not going to be fooled either. And as expected, because Josto had always been a man who values family beyond everything else, he appreciates his brother's guts for killing a child to take a hit on Gaetano and in what is a disturbing scene, Gaetano promises his fealty to Josto. He also tells his brother that he would like to be the lion of their family while his brother could be the smart snake. By the end of the episode, it seems like the two men are making up for the lost time, playing around over a drink and so on. However, none of this lasts long. No, Gaetano doesn't betray his brother, but Loy, disappointed by Gaetano not taking out his brother Josto, ruins the Italian brothers' happy time.

He calls in the men from Fargo who had promised to be on his side earlier on in the season. These men wreak havoc as they attack Josto and his brother. Gaetano ends up saving his brother by taking the attack head on and walking out with his guns in two hands as he shot at the men who had appeared out of nowhere at his mother's home. Josto was left to hide while his brother took care of the threat. However, what neither of them expected was to see their mother attacked and killed while they were distracted. After all, Josto was the one to have planned Satchel's death and despite claiming that it was Calamita who had killed Satchel to get back at Loy for taking Gaetano hostage, Loy realizes something is not right. So, he has men from Fargo attack Josto, Gaetano and their family.

This shootout, right after the one that killed Deafy (Timothy Olyphant) and Swanee Capps (Kelsey Asbille) was a major bonus for fans and it also shows how Loy now has two people gunning for him. Zelmare Roulette (Karen Aldridge), for selling her and her lover Swanee out and the Faddas. Fans on Reddit loved how the episode almost fooled the fans with its commercial break fade out before the shooting.  One fan wrote, "The episode would have been just fine ending before that stinger but they blessed us with more chaos, Chef’s kiss emoji." Another fan stated, "Well, its official. Shit has hit the fan." Another fan who enjoyed the ending of the episode stated, "Oh f**k the end.. no spoilers but damn."

There were discussions about how this scene had fans impressed, especially Gaetano taking out his two guns to shoot at everyone. This one fan wrote, "Just the one dude catching himself on fire from the campfire did it for me lol (Plus Gaetano tanking and dual wielding sidearms)," and another agreed and said, "It did have that vibe lol. Such a great game."
