Laura Kinney might just be returning to her Wolverine identity, in a teaser released by Marvel Comics for 'X-Men' #5. The teaser also features Darwin, and resurrected mutant Synch as they prepare for an unknown but dangerous mission.

Laura Kinney, a clone of Wolverine who took up his mantle after his death, returned to her X-23 identity when Logan returned to life. Fans were disappointed by this, especially considering Marvel has no problems with there being multiple Hawkeyes, Spider-Men and even Iron Men operating at the same time. Throughout the 'Dawn of X' X-Men relaunch, we've seen X-23 in the pages of 'Fallen Angels.' She's been portrayed in a way that seems to ignore all the growth she's done as Wolverine, to the dismay of many of her fans. With her donning a newly designed Wolverine costume, however, fans couldn't be more excited.

"If Marvel have made Laura Wolverine again, they have my money!" said one user on Twitter. Another says, "Laura as Wolverine instantly makes this the most important upcoming book for me."

The other two mutants featured in the teaser are Darwin, with the powers of super-adaptability, and Synch, who can mimic the powers of mutants around him. Between those two, and Laura's own prodigious healing powers, it seems like whatever mission that's ahead for the heroes will need ones that are difficult to kill. Death has become somewhat less of a worry in the 'Dawn of X' era, with the Five being able to resurrect any mutant whose mind is backed up by Charles Xavier, but nobody enjoys having to die all the same. The resurrection process has brought many deceased mutants back to life, and Synch is just the latest.

'X-Men' #5 is written by Johnathan Hickman, and the issue features a change in artist from Leinil Francis Yu to RB Silva. Check out the teaser below:
