The family of Carole Baskin's missing husband Don Lewis are still looking for answers surrounding his mysterious disappearance over two decades ago. The family is also offering up a reward of around $100k for any information regarding Lewis's disappearance. Jack Donald Lewis had vanished without a trace back in 1997 on August 18. His disappearance was also revisited in an episode of Netflix's documentary titled 'Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness'.

Lewis's daughters along with a new legal team had held a press conference on Monday, August 10, where they announced that they would be offering $100k for any information on the case. According to attorney John Phillips, "Resolving this case is in everyone’s best interest." He added how he had also asked Carole to speak to them regarding the disappearance of Lewis. A spokesperson for Lewis's family, Jack Smith, shared, "We really need someone to come forward in the case with information. And there’s a lot of people out there that have information but they’re scared to come forward. There’s people with animals — exotic animals — that are scared if they come forward, they’re gonna lose their animals somehow."

Lewis had married Carole before she tied the knot with Howard Baskin. He had gone missing in 1997 and was later declared legally dead, resulting in her inheriting his considerable fortune of $5 to $10 million and that allegations that she was involved in his disappearance, we had earlier reported.

The Netflix docuseries had focused mainly on Oklahoma zookeeper Joe Exotic though there had been a dedicated episode to what had likely happened to Lewis. The episode had seemingly suggested that Carole and Lewis's relationship had been frayed when he had vanished, though she had denied such claims. She had earlier shared with Oxygen and said, "Don was suffering mentally and I was desperately trying to get him help." On Friday, August 7, Lewis's family had filed a bill of discovery in order to obtain information from Carole in the case, the Tampa Bay Times reveals.

We had also previously reported that a psychologist and body language expert, Bruce Durham, Carole's reaction to being quizzed on Lewis's disappearance gave away a chilling slip. Durham shared that he never goes into a situation to look for guilt. "When I come from any position I make myself believe that she's innocent and that I'm her lawyer and I'm looking for her body language does that I wouldn't want the prosecution to see," Durham said, according to the Mirror. "When she was asked about threatening him before his disappearance, she compresses her lips. This is a universal sign that at that particular moment there's a narrative going on inside your head - there's something not being said here," he added.

However, the authorities have not found any evidence that links her to the disappearance of her former husband. Carole currently lives with her second husband Howard and has slammed claims that she was involved in Lewis's death, calling it the "most ludicrous of all the lies and idiotic."
