Spoiler alert for 'Sacred Lies: The Singing Bones' Episode 2

In its first episode, Facebook Watch's latest anthology series 'Sacred Lies: The Singing Bones' introduced us to a troubled teenager Elsie (Jordan Alexander), whose issues trace their roots back to her childhood.

And then, there’s self-proclaimed private investigator Amelia Harper (Juliette Lewis), who has invested the majority of her life trying to unravel the murder of Cherry Falls Jane Does, only to serve her obsession.

Episode 2 of 'Sacred Lies' sees Elsie’s father Peter (Ryan Kwanten) being drawn towards the enchanting female voices from the woods.

The scene shifts to Elsie talking to her father in the prison, as he narrates the story of how he met her mother and where the only song imprinted on Elsie's mind comes from. He asks for Elsie's forgiveness and says he wants to be a parent she always deserved to have.

Meanwhile, Amelia continues to identify herself as a member of the Jane Doe archive and even refuses to inch from the spot despite the cops asking her to leave as she claims to have found the bones first.

A restless Amelia looks for the unicorn in a forest of pricks by endlessly scrolling through the comments under the public posts surrounding the Cherry Falls murder case. Meanwhile, a user by the handle watson2crick sends her a private message offering help with the information she needs.

Lily (Kimiko Glenn), who Amelia met with at the crime spot and works for the forensic department, establishes that the Jane Does were sisters. She also reveals that one of them was pregnant, which was identified using the nucleus in the fetal bone, which has also helped them trace the father of her child.

Amelia meets with Elsie and says that her father knew the women who were killed and that he’s out on parole which Elsie isn’t aware of.

Elsie refuses to go with Amelia to look for her father and excuses herself saying she doesn’t know anything about the bone sketches.

Pater comes to Elsie's foster home but mostly to meet Shannon (Kristin Bauer van Straten), who is seen making advances at him. Peter's gestures and the sudden display of concern leaves Elsie puzzled.

Peter knows exactly how to make Elsie dance to his tunes, while her tunes remind him of the time he first met the two sisters — aspiring singers from a small town with big plans of making it to tinsel town.

Meanwhile, Amelia gets hold of Elsie's DNA as she continues to pursue the Jane Doe sisters’ case, while Peter manages to escape in Shannon's car when the cops arrive.

'Sacred Lies: The Singing Bones' is available to stream on Facebook Watch.
