Fabs were far from pleased after watching Netflix's new show 'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives'. The show follows four Bollywood star wives- Neelam Kothari, Maheep Kapoor, Seema Khan, and Bhavana Pandey. These wives give us a peek into their lives with the hopes of busting the myth that their lives are 'glamorous'. These ladies described their life as mundane, and just like any other person's. But after watching the show, fans refuse to believe that these star wives live a 'mundane' life.

From attending a debutante ball in Paris to having a personalized royal shopping experience in Doha, these wives don't shy away from living life king size. Unfortunately for them, instead of feeling fascinated and amused by their extravagant lifestyle, fans were instead left fuming after watching these ladies go on luxury vacations and numerous shopping trips.

For instance, in the pilot episode of the show, we see Maheep Kapoor and her husband- Sanjay Kapoor sitting at a cafe in Paris and discussing their life. When Sanjay tries to reminisce about how life was very hard for him because he couldn't afford to get into Lido, his wife immediately remarks that she got her Louis Vuitton trolley bag from there.

In the last episode, we see the wives catching up with each other on a video call due to the pandemic. The first thing that pops into their head is how they are missing their manicures and pedicures, and the hard life they are forced to live due to lack of air conditioner and cook. So, it came as no surprise when several fans took to Twitter to slam the show for being very tone-deaf and insensitive.

A fan tweeted, "#FabulousLivesofBollywoodWives Slap in the face when the farmers of India are protesting for basic needs and India ravaged by the Covid-19 pandemic. Stop imitating Hollywood. Let's get original. #FabulousLives." "@NetflixIndia Do better. This is tone deaf. People in India are suffering because of the pandemic, inequality and poverty. This is rubbing it in. Farmers are protesting in the country and you're releasing: #FabulousLivesofBollywoodWives #FabulousLives #FarmersProtest," continued the fan. Another fan commented, "@karanjohar I have been you fan all though & always supported you. But this time, in these unprecedented times your #FabulousLives seems more like a #frivolouslife to me. These deaf toned attitude to the suffering around and creating such a frivolous content wasn’t expected!"

"Thousands of people lost their jobs during the pandemic and you're showing this to mock them You should make series on the pandemic crisis," a fan commented on YouTube. Another fan echoed similar thoughts with, "Between this pandemic and people losing their jobs, was this really necessary."

'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives' is available for streaming on Netflix.
