Ezra Miller gender battle rages as disgraced actor does a Flash and disappears

'It is simply incorrect to call Ezra miller a man. They're nonbinary,' social media is saying

Ezra Miller is surrounded by some serious allegations as they have reportedly taken an 18-year girl hostage and fled. Last week, Tokata Iron Eyes's parents were able to get a protective order against the actor. They were accused of using violence and other methods of intimidation. Moreover, the order was issued last week by the Standing Rock Sioux tribal court in North Dakota but the court cannot locate Miller and hence, cannot serve them with the papers. 

Tokata's parents, attorney Chase Iron Eyes and his wife Sarah Jumping Eagle in a phone interview with The Los Angeles Times said to the court that they "have no idea of knowing where Tokata and Ezra are to gain help from other jurisdictions." The order in place will bar the 'Justice League' Flash actor from contacting Tokata for 30 days and would not be allowed within 100 yards of their residence. Also, the court has set a hearing on July 12 where Miller and Tokata can weigh in.

Chase continued telling The Times, "They move around so much [that] we’re stuck in this legal limbo situation, and we can’t serve them in any place they’re in long enough. They’ve been flighty. They’ve been avoiding service, and now there’s public pressure mounting on them to make a decision, which makes us very concerned about Ezra’s volatile nature. … We’re working very hard to get this order enforced wherever they are." Tokata's parents claim that Miller influenced and altered their daughter's decision to come out as a non-binary transgender when they have previously identified as queer, gay, and non-binary. 

Miller's vanishing act and the allegations heaped on them have opened a can of worms. Social media is shocked at Tokata's parents' allegations that the actor plied the teen with liquor and weed and may have also been grooming them. While stories of Miller's escapade and the courts' inability to find them circulate online, people on social media are taking offense at the fact that reports or comments on the actor are misgendering them. Both Miller, who identifies as queer and non-binary and Tokata who identifies as non-binary use they/them pronouns are being referred to as he and she.

Sexuality is a sensitive issue and is a boundary that must be respected. One such user said, "It is simply incorrect to call Ezra miller a man. They're nonbinary. It would be just as incorrect as calling them a barber despite the fact that they're an actor. Their moral standing and your personal notions of respect don't factor in." Another user said, "Ezra miller is a terrible person yes, but the implications that cis people can pick and choose when they use pronouns is bad for other trans people, because now a cis person gets to draw the line of when a trans person is valid or not."

Another user said, "Ezra Miller being a total dumpster fire of a human being does not give you an excuse to misgender them. Someone being a terrible person is not grounds to revoke their identity." Talking along the same lines, another user wrote, "Ezra Miller being nonbinary does not in any way conflict with them being a piece of shit. You have no excuse to misgender anybody."

Protecting the sensitivity that comes along with people's identity, one user wrote, "You can hate Ezra Miller but still respect people's pronouns. For example, I really hope Ezra Miller gets the shit kicked out of them, I hope they lose everything that gives them the power to be such a dipshit, they deserve every shit things that's coming to them." Another user, terrified of their community being called a 'groomer', said, "honestly the ezra miller allegations/expose couldn’t have come at a worse time, when trans and nonbinary people are being labeled en masse as groomers. i’m honestly terrified for how people are going to weaponize the actions of one against everyone."
