'Ex on the Beach’: Fans annoyed with Devin for bringing his relationship scale to the reunion, say he 'disrespected' Marie
Devin Walker and his infamous “relationship scale” made an appearance during the reunion special. Despite receiving heavy backlash earlier, the guy is still bent on making a case for his scale. Earlier this season we saw Devin give his ex-girlfriend Marie Roda a 6, on the scale of a friend to girlfriend. This ended up creating a huge wedge between the couple and ultimately, they parted ways after Devin and Shannon hooked up despite Marie requesting him not to do it out of respect for her.

At the reunion, we saw Devin being asked about what went wrong between Marie and him. Devin then went on to explain how things went south between the couple and brought out not one but two charts explaining what his rank of 6 to Marie meant. One of the charts contained a detailed explanation of the scale, with 1 being the “meh”, and 2-4 being “more than friends” range, 5-6 implying “friends with benefit”, 7-9 standing for “thinking of a relationship” and finally 10 for “girlfriend”. Devin justified his moving on from Marie by saying that if at the beginning itself the relationship needed so much work then according to him it was doomed.
Fans didn’t appreciate the reality star’s decision of bringing the scale on the show and felt that it was extremely “disrespectful” towards Marie. A fan tweeted, “The "scale" is not funny @MTVDevinWalker. You're literally going out of your way to embarrass @Marie_TBD and you don't do that to someone that you supposedly care about. #ExOnTheBeach”. Another fan wrote, “Marie should bitch slapped Devin with those damn scales, wtf?!?! #ExOnTheBeach”. “A scale and 2 messy, good looking lightweights...why is Marie being disrespected like this #ExOnTheBeach”, wondered a fan.
