Everton vs Manchester United: Fans want Solskjaer out if Red Devils lose to Toffees, say 'time for a change'
Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are under pressure. A loss to Everton on Saturday means a severe backlash from fans and the start of what could be a long and dismal Premier League campaign. The side lost 1-0 to Arsenal last week and now take on a competitive Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday, November 7. United may have had a stellar start to their Champions League so far, but a 2-1 humiliation at the hands of Istanbul Basaksehir would have dented their confidence.
With Solskjaer's position repeatedly questioned, the onus is on the side to deliver. Stat. However, United fans have been a troubled lot. The mood on Twitter wasn't necessarily a positive one as feverish excitement and part anger towards the team's manager was seen more than the wishes and cheers ahead of the game.
"Win, lose or draw today against @Everton... #OleOut it’s time for a change, someone with a bit more backbone not trying to please everybody @ManUtd#MUFC," read one of the tweets asking for Solskjaer's ouster. Predicting the winner had just become a hard job. "Everton Vs Manchester United too hard to predict the match..gonna be tough..all the best Manchester," wrote one of the fans.

There were some suggestions that made their way in as well. "Maguire should rearrange his defensive ability. How someone who arrived through free transfer can outshine him. when @ManUtd paid huge amount of money for his transfer," read a comment.

But there was worry, anger, and questions. "I'm tired of defending a club that can't even defend themselves @markgoldbridge @UnitedStandMUFC @ManUtd," a fan remarked. "@Everton you got only a job to do today and that's beating @ManUtd blue and black. Just attack and be very aggressive. Ole sack is on you guys today pls," read one of the comments. "Big game for Ole and Manchester United. He insists he’s backed by the board but there’s rumors about Pochettino and Julian Nagelsman. What’s going on United fans?" asked a fan.

That didn't mean zero fans with hopes. "n these difficult times, it's is essential and imperative that the whole football community gather together and send good vibes out to Ole Solskjaer. We must all support @ManUtd against @Everton and hope for a VERY long reign for OGS. #dontfireOle #keepOLE #saynotopoch"

Placed fourth on the points table, Carlo Ancelotti's men have notched up four wins in seven games and a win would propel them to tie with table-toppers Liverpool. They aren't the ones to gift points away and United will have a tough task on their hands.
What do you think of United fans' reactions ahead of the game? Kick-off is scheduled for 7.30 am ET on Saturday, November 7, 2020. The game can be watched live on NBCSN.
