The 72nd annual Emmy Awards may be different this year, but one of the biggest nights on TV was still just as special as many in the entertainment industry and their fans have been looking forward to this night. With social distancing in full force, and an audience of cut-boards celebrities, host Jimmy Kimmel's brings to you jokes on the 'pandemmys,' and the bit of happiness many need during these trying times.

Like he said, "television is there for you." With 'Schitt’s Creek' winning back to back since the ceremony started, we aren't surprised at the much-deserved win yet again in the comedy series category.

'Schitt’s Creek' wins in the category of Comedy series with the hilarious Jason Sudeikis announcing the win. While there were many contenders, we have to say that Pop TV's 'Schitt’s Creek' win was ultimately well deserved.

The comedy was nominated for 15 Emmys this year which included Outstanding Comedy Series, Catherine O'Hara for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, Eugene Levy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Annie Murphy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and Daniel Levy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

We have to say that while the nominations were well-deserved, many fans of the series were expecting them to win in at least more than one category and no one was disappointed. The category of Outstanding Comedy Series is a prestigious category to win in, especially considering the many huge series that were nominated in this category — from Netflix's 'Dead To Me' to ''The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' on Amazon Prime Video.

Either way, it seems like the cast were eternally grateful for sweeping the entire comedy category with seven wins, leading in the amount of Emmys won for a series tonight. The speeches were incredible of course, with the cast themselves unable to believe that the start of the ceremony might as well have been dedicated to the series.

For the category of Outstanding Comedy Series, the following were the nominations:
'Curb Your Enthusiasm' on HBO
'Dead to Me' on Netflix
'The Good Place' on NBC
'Insecure' on HBO
'The Kominsky Method' on Netflix
'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' on Amazon Prime Video
'Schitt's Creek' on Pop TV
'What We Do in the Shadows' on FX
