The most-anticipated honor of Outstanding Actor in Limited Series or TV movie at the Emmys 2020 was awarded to Mark Ruffalo for his role in HBO's 'I Know This Much Is True'. It was one of the most beautiful television series 2020 witnessed. Not only does it run high on emotions, but the brilliant creation by Derek Cianfrance makes you perceive life differently and it was none other than the lead actor Ruffalo who added life to the characters and defined the entire series with his phenomenal acting.

The actor accepted the award while filling the television screens with his presence from his home. It is Ruffalo's first acting Emmys and the actor couldn't contain his emotions as he delivered the acceptance speech sitting on a couch beside his wife in his house in New York. The 52-year-old actor urged the viewers to use their vote in the upcoming November elections to “heal and honor and take care of each other and our most vulnerable people.”

"Our story was about a man, it's about family. It's about a man who is fighting for his brother who is living with mental illness. It's a story that is common throughout so much of the world today. And it asks a big question, how are we going to deal and honor and take care of each other and our most vulnerable people?" he said commenting on the show. He also said that "We have to come together for love, for each other. and, if you have privilege, you need to fight for those less fortunate and more vulnerable." Ruffalo further noted, "That's what is great about America the diversity." Thanking his family for the support, he expressed that he has learned any valuable life lessons from them.

He concluded his speech by emphasizing the importance of voting to make the Ameican Dream come true. "And so we have a big, important moment ahead of us. Are we going to be a country of division and hatred, a country only for certain kind of people, or are we going to be one of love, strength, and fighting for all of us, who have the American dream and the pursuit of life, liberty, love, and happiness, in this great country of ours. That's what we're facing right now. So go out and vote, make a plan, and vote for love and compassion and kindness. I love you all. Thank you so much."

Soon, fans took to Twitter to shower Ruffalo with love and support as he delivered a touching speech. One emotional fan wrote, "@MarkRuffalo I knew you were a great actor. I had chills every sentence. I was teared up before you finished. I replayed it twice. You are an amazing man. I admire you.
