Sydney Sweeney earns her first two Emmy nominations this year for her performances in 'Euphoria' and 'The White Lotus'

It’s a really amazing moment for young and rising actress Sydney Sweeney. The ‘Euphoria’ breakout star got not just one but two nominations for this year’s most prominent and coveted Emmy awards. Whilst her first Emmy awards nomination is for best-supporting actress in the drama series category for her nuanced performance in the hit HBO series ‘Euphoria’, Sweeney has also been nominated for ‘The White Lotus’ in the outstanding limited series category.

Surprisingly, even Sweeney’s Euphoria co-star Zendaya made Emmys history. Zendaya is not only the youngest star at age 25 to receive two acting Emmy nominations, but also is amongst the youngest producers to earn an Emmy nod. For those who are unaware, Zendaya had previously bagged the outstanding actress in a drama series for her turn as Rue in 2020 for the iconic hit series.

Overall,  this is a huge thing that HBO’s original series ‘Euphoria’ has received an outstanding number of 16 Emmy nominations this year. These nominations include outstanding drama series followed by Martha Kelly as guest actress in a drama category and Colman Domingo as a guest actor in a drama category. The show also picked up a raft of craft nominations across the board.

As soon as the news of Sydney Sweeney getting two acting nominations for Emmys got revealed, fans started sharing their reactions on social media.
