'Ellen's Game of Games' Season 3 Episode 4: Martha Stewart, Melissa McCarthy and more have fun with Danger Word
From spinning chairs to brides on treadmill and blasts of Spaghetti O's, this week was a hilarious ride on Season 3 of 'Ellen's Game of Games'.
Contestants Alex and Chidi competed for Dizzy Dash to answer trivia questions on a spinning chair and Alex won the round with three correct answers. It was then followed by Runaway Bride where three contestants had to run on a treadmill while dodging roadblocks and catching pieces of cake and piling up three such pieces to win Ellen's heart. This was followed by a blindfolded musical chair round where contestants had to dance to 'Star Boy' with blindfolds on and the winner of all three rounds moved on to the final round.
Then came the fun round of Danger Word. Two best friends faced off a couple with word clues. And this is where we got to see glimpses of the celebrities on the show.
Martha Stewart, StephenCurry, Melissa McCarthy, Kenan Thompson and Hoda Kotb took their turns to give out clues for Winning Word and Danger Word. The contestants had to give cues to their partners on the hot seat to guess the right word. The danger word would invite blasts of mysterious materials (like liquid chocolate, Spaghetti O's, or smoke) from Ellen.
Martha came up with the first word — 'sofa', Stephen gave the word — 'dribble', Lisa McCarthy shouted out 'celebration', Keenan Thompson gave out 'booty' and Hoda Kotb appeared with the word 'sea'.
The winners from each round made it to the final round, vying for the $100,000 prize. Alex, from the very first round made it all the way to the end, and managed to take a prize money of $40,000 home.
