A week after her ex-boyfriend and the father of her son, Steve Bing, committed suicide by jumping to his death from the 27th floor of his Los Angeles apartment block while battling depression, Liz Hurley is back posting bikini pictures on social media.

Hurley, 55, who is an actress and swimwear tycoon, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a bikini-clad snap, as she plugged her own collection. She shared the snap on her Elizabeth Hurley Beach page just a few days after she posted a tribute to her ex-partner, who is father to her son Damian, 18. In the picture she donned a pastel-colored two-piece swimwear and flashed a smile, throwing her hands in the air as she seemed to be enjoying herself as she posed on the beach.

"24 hours left to get an additional 30% off our glorious Paisley Bikini- already marked down 40%. Use code 30EXTRA at checkout. Link in bio" the caption said. Hurley was criticized for posting the revealing pictures just days after she said that she was "saddened" to learn that her multimillionaire took his own life after suffering from depression due to a lack of social contact during the lockdown.

"Nothing stops her," one user wrote, while another said, "Please stop its crass." "How utterly sad and depressing..." wrote another. A fourth said, "I thought she would disappear for a bit longer but no. Forever the attention seeker." However, there were those who stood up in support of Hurley.

"People deal with grief in different ways and no one knows how she feels, she and Damian are dealing with it their way but undoubtedly together," one wrote, while another said, "Love her or hate her she is a stunning woman and has a right to keep her business going."

We reported earlier that Hurley and the 55-year-old businessman had dated in 2001. After one year of their dating, Hurley gave birth to their son Damian. Taking to Instagram, the actress wrote: “I am saddened beyond belief that my ex Steve is no longer with us. It is a terrible end. Our time together was very happy and I’m posting these pictures because although we went through some tough times, it’s the good, wonderful memories of a sweet, kind man that matter."

While it had been reported that Bing had never met his son, Hurley took to social media to say they had grown close in recent times and had spoken on his birthday. "In the past year, we had become close again. We last spoke on our son’s 18th birthday. This is devastating news and I thank everyone for their lovely messages," she added, sharing two pictures of her with Bing.

Their son Damian also shared a post after his father’s death on Instagram as he wrote: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that has reached out following the devastating news. I’m trying to reply to as many of you as I can, but please know I will always remember your kindness. This is a very strange and confusing time and I’m immensely grateful to be surrounded by my phenomenal family and friends."
