'DWTS' Season 32 host Julianne Hough called out for copying Lele Pons' Spanish accent as YouTuber gets eliminated

'DWTS' star Lele Pons was eliminated despite bagging the third spot on leaderboard during the Music Video Night

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: 'Dancing With The Stars' Season 32 contestant Lele Pons got eliminated in the Music Video Night episode. Amid the YouTuber's elimination, what became the sensation of the hour was host Julianne Hough's comment on her Spanish accent.

Lele is a Vanezuelan-born actress and singer. Therefore, she has an accent different from Americans. When asked by the host about Shakira, Lele couldn't control her love and said, "Te amo, te amo, te amo."

Copying the same accent, Julianne repeated Lele's words. Fans mocked Julianne's awkward attempt to copy Lele. 

A fan mocked the host, saying, "Julianne after copying Lele saying te amo," with the popular meme template of Selena Gomez wrapped in a blanket. Another mocked the host, "After hearing Julianne say te amo I KNOW she says gracias at Mexican restaurants after ordering." "No julianne saying te amo girl bye," tweeted one.

Many, however, were left stunned upon seeing Lele being sent home after her performance. A shocked fan tweeted, "LELE GOING HOME?" Another claimed, "There’s no reason lele pons should’ve got sent home when the bottom 3 couples are still in the competition… lele pons was robbed of being final 4."

"NAH YALL NEED TO BE FR THERES NO WAY LELE GOT ELIMINATED," tweeted another shocked fan. Another declared, "Lele deserved better."

'DWTS' host Julianne Hough mocked for her outfit on 'DWTS' Season 32 Episode 7

Julianne was seen wearing a black striped suit. What people found odd was the cutouts around the private parts in the outfit. 

The cutout showcased Julianne wearing a pink colored undergarment. This was something that caught the attention of fans the most throughout the episode. 

One mocked the host, "Julianne looks like she lost a fight with scissors." Another said about her outfit, "WTH is Julianne Hough wearing on #DWTS Bizarre!!!" "What the heck is Julianne Hough wearing on #DWTS ?!?" tweeted a third person.

A fan of the show slammed the host, "I can’t watch 2 hours of Julianne in that outfit. Hurts my eyes. Turning to The Weather Channel." 

Another claimed, "Don’t care for Julianne’s outfit. Black jacket with peek-a-boo. Not flattering." Yet another person slammed the outfit, saying, "Julianne why you got panties over your pants."

Lele Pons bagged 3rd rank with score of 32 on 'DWTS' Music Video Night

Lele was the first performer of Music Video Night. Along with her pro partner Brandon Armstrong, she was seen performing Salsa on Shakira's song 'Whenever, Wherever'.

Derek Hough loved how gracefully made use of her torso in the performance. However, he believed the lifts needed to be a little bit more smoother.

Bruno Tonioli praised the performance but thought that the entries and exits from the lifts interrupted the entire jive. All four judges, including guest judge Paula Abdul, gave an 8 to Lele, making her total 32/40.

Lele and Brandon ranked 3rd in the leaderboard. Despite such a great score, they were eliminated on Tuesday night's episode.

'DWTS' Season 32 new episodes air every Tuesday at 8 pm ET on Disney+ and ABC.
