'DWTS' Season 31: Halloween Night episode divides couples into two teams with each using different props
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Get ready to witness some scary moves! 'Dancing With the Stars' Season 31's Episode 8 is bringing in 'Halloween night' that may have you watching it on repeat. Halloween happens only once a year. Indeed, to make it memorable Disney+ has brought a twist to the format of the show.
We all know by the name that the dances for the special episode will be inspired by Halloween itself. Therefore, the contestants are expected to dress up as spooky characters. Moreover, in this episode, judges will not give a score to individual couples — instead, the participants will be divided into groups. The show currently only has nine couples left. The couples of 'Dancing With the Stars' Season 31 will be divided into two teams for Halloween night.
Team Wicked
Five couples are there in Team Wicked with Vinny Guadagnino as their captain. They have 'The Witches are Back' from 'Hocus Pocus 2' as their dance number. Team Wicked's member pairings are:
Vinny Guadagnino and Koko Iwasaki- performing Paso Doble to 'Get Ghost' by Mark Ronson, Passion Pit, and A$AP Ferg
Shangela and Gleb Savchenko- performing Jazz to 'Look What You Made Me Do' by Taylor Swift

Team Scream
Four couples are there in Team Scream with Trevor Donovan as their lead. This team has 'Heads Will Roll' from 'Yeah Yeah Yeahs' as their dance number. Team Scream's member pairings are:
Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater- performing Contemporary to 'Ghost' by Justin Bieber
Daniel Durant and Britt Stewart- performing Paso Doble to 'Bury a Friend' by Billie Eilish
Wayne Brady and Witney Carson- performing Contemporary to 'Halloween Theme' by District 78
Charli D'Amelio and Mark Ballas- performing Argentine Tango to 'Tanguera' by Fabio Hager Sexteto
Even though the couples are divided into two teams, each contestant will be scored individually. In the end, each contestant's score will be added and therefore the total score of the team will be concluded. Moreover, Disney+ reveals that in the Halloween Night episode contestants will make use of the props. 'Dancing With the Stars' social media page posted a "caution" image claiming they found one of the scary props near the stage. Another prop revealed is a big container-like transparent thing and a candle stand. Furthermore, Halloween night will also check the couples' compatibility. Each couple in the video released is seen asking various questions like, "Who is most likely to have the wildest house decorations?" "Who is most likely to dress up as their pet?" "Who is most likely to sleep with the flashlight?", and many others. Indeed, the Halloween edition will make the contestants reveal some interesting things about each other.
