It's time for some racing action as the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Dover International Speedway this weekend with the Drydene 311. It is a special occasion as the day marks the 101st time NASCAR has raced at the DIS. Chase Elliot is favored to win this one post-back-to-back wins in the 311. Ahead of the race, Chase Elliot, in an interview with MRN said, "I feel like we need to be just a tick better. I feel like we’ve consistently been really strong, but not consistently just dominant. So I would like to see us kind of get over the hump and be just a tick better to really assert ourselves there more often, you know, in that first place instead of that third, fourth consistently." Elliot is one of the drivers touted to be the favorite going into the weekend's race.

The official logline for the race on the NASCAR site reads: "The Drydene 311 on Saturday, August 22 marks the 101st time NASCAR will race at Dover International Speedway. With 24 degrees of banking in the turns and 9 degrees on the front stretch, this concrete mile is known as the Monster Mile. Jimmie Johnson holds the most Cup victories at Dover, with 11 total."
