When the first season of 'Dragons: Rescue Riders' was released in 2019, fans of 'How to Train Your Dragon' franchise were in high spirits. The series may have concluded with the third film, but the franchise continues growing with new instalments. 'Dragons: Rescue Riders' is one of them.

The animation series is aimed at a much younger audience than the rest of the franchise and follows twins Dak and Leyla on their fiery adventures in the adopted town of Huttsgalor. They share the unique ability to communicate with dragons and lead a team of five young dragons spending their days rescuing other dragons and helping people.

Release date

Season 2 of 'Dragons: Rescue Riders' will release on Netflix on February 7, 2020. 

Plot

According to the official synopsis of the show, 'Dragons: Rescue Riders' is a preschool comedy adventure series about twins Dak and Leyla, who befriend five young dragons, and spend their days rescuing other dragons, and helping the people in their adopted town of Huttsgalor. 

Cast

Nicolas Cantu lends his voice to Dak, Brennley Brown to Leyla, Carlos Alazraqui (who is best known for his role as Deputy James Garcia on 'Reno 911!', Spyro on 'Spyro The Dragon' and Mr Weed on 'Family Guy') lends his voice to Duggard. Hannahr is voice by Moira Quirk, Elbone by Roshon Fegan and Magnus Finke by Brad Grusnick. 

Creators

'Dragons: Rescue Riders' is executive produced by Jack Thomas, who also serves as the executive producer of the show.
