'Double Shot At Love': Will Vinny and Maria's kiss turn into a new relationship or will they keep it casual?
Vinny Guadagnino and Maria Elizondo have had a chemistry that was hard to ignore but the pair never took a step further into the relationship in the latest season. Maria was part of the first season and viewers thought she would end up with Vinny. However, as the first season progressed, Vinny started talking to other girls and his relationship with Maria did not go far.
When Maria appeared in the second season, there was tension between the two. She did not appreciate Vinny going out with other girls and seemed to carry that anger with her even in the second season. Before appearing on the show, she slammed Vinny on social media. After spending weeks of not talking to each other, the two decided it was time to break the awkwardness and understand what was happening between them.
Even though the two managed to brush off the past incidents, they did not get past the friendship stage. Vinny had admitted that there is chemistry between them but it is more like friends. He confessed that figuring out what was between them was hard. Fortunately for him, in the latest episode (July 23), Mike Sorrentino and his wife, Lauren Pesce, were there to talk to Maria for him.
Mike decided to go and talk to Maria to understand what she was feeling. Maria admitted that she was open to seeing where her relationship with Vinny went but was not sure if it was the right time. Mike decided to take a page from his book and recalled how Lauren and he had broken up and stayed friends. He further added that the friendship helped them make their relationship stronger and they are now married. Maria felt good after talking to Mike and thought it may not be a bad idea to get close to Vinny. She and Vinny danced together as DJ Pauly performed his gig. Thanks to Pauly's help, the two ended up making out.
As they returned to the house, Vinny and Maria did not hesitate to take their relationship to the next stage. However, before sleeping together, Vinny made sure it did not come between their friendship and she knew it was casual. Maria admitted that she felt the same and the two ended up spending the night together, but will the pair be able to keep it casual?
