The rivalry between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden is intensifying in the days leading up to the US Elections 2020. Recently, the 74-year-old spoke to his supporters at an airport rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Praising Ginsburg as "an inspiration," Trump said he will nominate a woman to the Supreme Court next week. Not just that, he also spoke about the Covid-19 pandemic, trade, and violence in cities.

At the rally that lasted more than 100 minutes, he mocked his Democratic rival Biden and said: "If I lose to him, I don't know what I'm going to do – I will never speak to you again. You'll never see me again." Soon, his words started trending on social media as several people on the Internet poked fun at it and asked, "Promise?"

If that was not enough, Biden took to Twitter to share the clip and posted: "I’m Joe Biden and I approve this message." His tweet soon collected over 30,000 retweets and 88,000 likes. Barely two hours before that, Biden had said, "The Supreme Court is on the ballot. And the outcome will impact everything from health care to civil rights — affecting generations to come. Vote. Our future depends on it. We must win."

Trump's statement sparked a series of tweets and people couldn't stop making fun of him. "Promise?!!!!" one Twitter user posted, sharing a clip of his statement at the rally. Another said, "I’m pretty sure that’s what all of Biden’s voters want. I get he is trying to guilt his own voters into a higher turnout, but he is also pouring gas into the fire of Biden’s voter turnout. All in all, I approve. I like when people vote, no matter who for."

Many Twitter users even labeled it as abuse. "Trump is verbally abusing his base supporters. Maybe they will decide that they are better off with their supreme leader gone. No, I don't believe that, these people will fight and die for him, which is very sad and scary at the same time," one tweet read and another said, "Definitely abuse. My Father used to do this. "I am leaving because no one loves me" then you cry I do, and sob and scream. Tough on a 6 year old. Ego boost for him. Now I say bye bye, was nice knowing you."

Well, not just Trump, many poked fun at Biden too. "Trump literally making a joke about Joe Biden and the Biden team turned it into a campaign ad... Looks like they're all sleepy AF too..." one tweet read and another said, "Joe, try to keep it together." One even went on to say: "Joe is completely absent-minded and confused uhm, oohhm you know, the thing. #JoeBidenIsUnableToLead."
