Trump boasts about beating Obama and Biden to be named the year's most admired man: 'Trump number one'

While his tweet began as a self-boasting post about his title win, it soon gave way to his baseless theory about the 2020 election being rigged against him

In keeping with his boastful nature, President Donald Trump took to Twitter and hooted his own horn about how he beat former president Barack Obama and President-elect Joe Biden to bag the title of the Most Admired Man of the year, according to a survey by Gallup.

While his tweet began as a self-boasting post about his title win, it soon gave way to his baseless theory about the 2020 election being rigged against him.

POTUS tweeted, "'Barack Obama was toppled from the top spot and President Trump claimed the title of the year’s Most Admired Man. Trump number one, Obama number two, and Joe Biden a very distant number three. That’s also rather odd given the fact that on November 3rd, Biden allegedly racked up... millions more votes than Trump, but can’t get anywhere close to him in this poll. No incoming president has ever done as badly in this annual survey.' @MarkSteynOnline @TuckerCarlson That’s because he got millions of Fake Votes in the 2020 Election, which was RIGGED!"

We previously reported that Trump ended Obama's 12-year reign as the most admired man in the United States, according to the annual Gallup survey published on December 29.

Soon, Trump's post was followed by a number of reactions. "Don you are a day late and a dollar short on your so called fraud election," one user said while another wrote, "Bravo Donald on getting 18% in an irrelevant popularity contest! You know who won the real popularity contest, the presidential election? Joe Biden with 81.2 million votes!!" A third commented, "I want a recount!"

One more quipped, "Yeah well @MichelleObama is STILL most admired woman!" The next remarked, "You're a legend in your own mind." Another said, "So, exactly HOW MUCH did he pay them to do that??" A commenter tweeted, "It’s a single poll of less than 1200 people." One more reacted with, "It’s just a consolation prize: A prize given to a competitor who loses or does not win the first prize." One more pointed out, "The most fragile ego in America."

One said, "This gets weirder and sadder with every new day and tweet. This is a seriously unwell person. He’s going to have a major breakdown before this is all over. It’s actually really scary. He needs an intervention."

Trump was named as the most admired man by an impressive 18 percent of the Gallup survey's respondents. In comparison, Obama received 15 percent of the votes, while Biden barely scratched 6 percent. Meanwhile, 3 percent reportedly named National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci, and 2 percent said Pope Francis, The Hill reported.

Other notable figures among the top 10 were Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and the Dalai Lama, all of whom received 1 percent of the votes, as per the outlet. Michelle Obama ranks as the most admired woman for the third year in a row. Vice President-elect Kamala Harris is second.

In the 74 times Gallup has asked the open-ended most admired man question since 1946, the incumbent president has topped the list 60 times, the report said. This included all eight years of Obama's tenure at the White House, as well as every year of George W Bush's presidency. That said, Trump finished second to Obama in 2017 and 2018, according to The Hill.
