Melania and Trump are very close and really sweet to each other, claims FLOTUS' hairdresser: 'They're in love'
While there has been quite some rumor about the failing marriage of President Donald Trump and Melania, one of the top hairdressers in the world disagrees. Lino Carbosiero, who has had the opportunity to observe the first couple up close and personal, said that the pair were 'sweet to each other.'
“It’s rubbish what they say about the first lady and the president [not being in love],” he told Evening Standard. “I’ve seen them close up and they’re so sweet to each other and very close.” He corroborated Pulitzer Prize-winning author Mary Jordan's claim in her new book 'Art Of Her Deal' that Melania's relationship with Trump is actually very close. In the book, Jordan dished about the first couple's unconventional marriage, saying it doesn't impact the quality of their relationship. “[Melania's] the first call he makes after a speech or a rally, because he trusts her — he doesn’t trust many people — and she watches on TV,” Jordan wrote according to Express. “So they have a very unusual relationship, but there is a bond there: they have a deal, right from the beginning. He loves himself, he loves his job, he’s got his own life and he spends a lot of time apart from her. And she’s absolutely fine with that.”
Carbosiero first styled Melania's hair for the presidential state visit to the UK in June 2019, after being recommended by the Buckingham Palace for the gig. Since then, Carbosiero has become the man to call for tending her hair at important occasions, including the G7 summit in Biarritz in August. He raved about the treatment he received by both Melania's team as well as the president personally while styling her hair.
“Me and my assistant have never been treated so well by anyone as we have by the president and the first lady and I don’t just mean financially,” he said. “You are literally checked on constantly. ‘Are you OK?’ ‘Would you like a drink?’ Nothing is a problem.” He added: “Her team are treated so well. I know because I’ve spoken to them, I’ve spoken to the Secret Service. I can’t talk politically, take that out of it, because I don’t want to get involved, but when it comes to manners and putting themselves out, [The Trumps] are amazing."
He also mentioned an instance when he was tending to the FLOTUS' hair when he was paid a surprise visit by Trump. "I was in a room at the American ambassador’s house and the president was walking past, very fast, and the door was only open a small crack but he saw me sitting there and he stopped and came in and said hello. He’s the most famous man in the world and he introduced himself to me and to my assistant. A lot of people wouldn’t have done that. At Christmas they bought my two assistants a gift, they’re very sweet," he said.
Carbosiero added that he wanted Trump to be reelected as he hasn't paid a visit to the White House despite being invited due to coronavirus restrictions and he really wanted to make the trip. “I haven’t cut the president’s hair. I’d love to cut his hair. I’d love to cut everybody’s hair because there’s nothing like chatting to someone in the mirror with the scissors and the comb," he said.
