LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The blockbuster ‘Transformers’ franchise films have been known for their spectacular scale and thrilling action, appealing to both fans of the original toy line and newcomers to the franchise. Throughout the series, the films have introduced new characters and expanded the ‘Transformers’ universe. Although the movies explored the theme of battles, it has also inculcated loyalty and friendship and explained the consequence of war. With its seventh installment, ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’, set to release, fans are swooped away by the trailer, which brought about chaos and confusion.

‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ is directed by Steven Caple Jr and set to release on June 9, 2023. The movie centers around the biggest challenge of Optimus Prime and the Autobots when they team up with a powerful faction of Transformers known as Maximals to save the earth when a new threat emerges, one that can destroy the entire planet. The movie will cover the entire set of transformers, namely, Optimus Prime, Mirage, Bumblebee, Arcee, Optimus Primal, Airazor, Reek, Scourge, Wheeljack, Rhinox, Nightbird, Cheetor, Unicron, and Stratosphere. However, Bumblebee’s battle in the movie might portray a grim future. The new trailer of the movie reveals a hero will die, and our guess is no other than Bumblebee, particularly when he gets impaled by Scourge’s blade in mid-air.

Will Bumblebee die?

In the latest trailer of ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’, every second is important and increases anticipation for the movie's release. It gives a glimpse of Unicron prepping to unleash the madness. As Optimus partners with the Maximals, a tragic moment is highlighted in the trailer which hints at an Optimus ally's brutal end. The trailer rolls on to show the Autobots and Maximals tethering together. However, it also presents Bumblebee leaping in to fight the sadistic Scourge. Although it’s Bumblebee’s usual style, sadly, he gets harpooned by Scourge’s blade in mid-air.

As the blade impales Bumblebee, there’s a blue glow that seems to be Scourge extracting Bee’s spark. Fans suspect that a trailer wouldn’t reveal such a big moment. Therefore, there’s a slight chance that Bumblebee may be alive because he is seen in a firefight towards the end of the trailer. However, that part could also be earlier in the film. A failed attempt to kill Scourge might be the end of Bumblebee, but that’s for us to find out by watching the movie.

Mirage could fill Bumblebee’s void

Notably, Optimus did die in the iconic ’86 animated movie after an attack by Megatron’s crew. Perhaps something like that could occur here. Besides, there’s no Bumblebee sequel happening anytime soon. Moreover, Optimus has been killed and resurrected in Michael Bay films many times. Also, Bumblebee is a major character, and his death would intimidate Scourge and might push the heroes into revenge mode. What’s worth noting here is that a similar Bee-like-figure, Mirage, played by Pete Davidson, shares a deep connection with Bumblebee. Therefore, Mirage may fill Bee’s void, but evidently, the beloved Autobots will definitely lose a member on the field in this epic new installment.

'Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' will release on June 9, 2023.
