'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' Episode 8 promo teases Jun having to leave Ra-ra's side, can he?
'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' Episode 7 ended with Dr. Cha reaching out to hold Ra-ra's hand in his, indicating that he was romantically interested in her. At the same time, Jun also ends up calling Ra-ra after learning that the girl that he is in love with is on a date with another guy. Can he stop the situation from progressing any further? We are not sure as the episode had ended right there, but if we were to go by the promo of the upcoming episode, it seems that Jun does gain the courage finally to confess his feelings to Ra-ra.
At least a part of it, because we hear him thank Ra-ra for entering his life. Ra-ra also seems to have finally gotten her car, the one that she had been in an accident in as we see the two of them go out for a fun ride in the car. What is really strange though, is the fact that the show is yet to address the stalker lying in wait for Ra-ra to be alone for a moment so that he can make his move. Meanwhile, the man that Jun's mother had hired to find her son has found a picture of Ra-ra and Jun together at the piano studio and this indicates that it is not too long before Jun is forced to go back home.
Then there is also the matter of Ra-ra's father's company going bankrupt but the secretary seems to have a hand in all that has happened to the family. When will the show begin to explore all of these loose ends? Considering we are almost halfway through the show, the pace really needs to pick up.
The other questions that we cannot wait to be answered are if Dr. Cha really suffers from a terminal illness considering his tablets pouch that he keeps close to him all the time. He did end up filing for divorce from his wife despite the high price he had to pay and the question of why he did what he did has not been answered as of now.
As each of these questions begin to be answered in the upcoming episodes, 'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' has the potential to be one of better romantic and heartwarming tales to come out of the Korean entertainment world. Of course, nothing can beat 'It's Okay to Not be Okay' personally, but this show with Ra-ra and Jun is equally important as it portrays how individuals at different stages in life deal with being alone. Jun as a school student, Jaemin as a little kid who was abandoned by his mother, Ra-ra whose father had unfortunately died on her wedding day and finally Dr. Cha, who divorced recently.
'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' will air on KBS2 on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Seoul, South Korea, and can be streamed on Netflix in the US.
