Grammys 2020: DJ Khaled, John Legend win Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Performance, fans get overwhelmed
Some fans took to Twitter to appreciate and congratulate their hip-hop/ rap and contemporary R&B heroes, DJ Khaled and John Legend for their Grammy Award for Best Rap/ Sung Performance. The duo bagged the award for 'Higher' which features Nipsey Hussle.
Dj Khaled received some spiritual comments reading, "God is Great. Congratulations" and "God got you" and "Bless up", amongst some comments including love for his attire for the Grammy night, with "I loved the black suit with the Jordan 1's lit for sure [sic]".
The award marks DJ Khaled's first Grammy and soul singer John Legend gave congratulations to his partner, DJ Khaled, saying "I want to congratulate my brother @djkhaled on his first Grammy! Thanks for having me and Nip on this record [sic]". Adding, "Thanks for bringing so many artists together to make beautiful music. He told me and @EddieBlackmon that this was gonna be his Grammy song back in March".
Legend was given his fair share of positive comments, including a remark, "Your performance was stunning on the Grammys this evening. And watching your beautiful wife watch you perform was the most beautiful thing." Fans thanked him for their tribute to Nipsey Hussle and Kobey Bryant, saying "Ty (thank you) for the tribute to Kobe and Nip we all needed it today [sic]".
Some fans shared some emotional moments they experienced while watching Legend's performance with comments like "This was truly a blessing seeing you all come together to honor him. I was in tears the whole time", and saying they wished they were there during the show, but that they knew Nipsey Hussle was with them in spirit.
