Did Maria Georgas quit 'The Bachelor' Season 28? Speculation sparks after ABC contestant tearfully claims to 'go home'
AGOURA HILLS, CALIFORNIA: In the latest episode of 'The Bachelor' Season 28, star Maria Georgas is rumored to have self-eliminated from the ABC show. Speculation arose following Sydney's elimination, as her close friend Lea took her spot and allegedly desired Maria's exit from the competition.
During a conversation with Madina, Maria expressed her feelings, stating, "It hurts my feelings" that other women felt offended by Madina being nice to her. Subsequently, Maria addressed the group, stating, "I'm sorry, I can’t do this anymore." She added, "It’s always something."
Overwhelmed with emotion, Maria walked, tears streaming down her face, expressing her desire to quit the show. In a conversation with the producers, she declared, "I'm out" and added, "They win." However, online speculation suggested that Lea might have influenced her decision to leave the show.
One social media user wrote, "But they are gradually chipping away at that toughness. They are trying to break her. If they can’t get her sent home by Joey, they want to destroy her so she’s forced to leave."
A social media user tweeted, "I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if sydney planned this. she definitely told lea and jess that if she goes home that they better keep planting doubt in joey’s head about maria so that she eventually goes home. even with her gone she’s still causing maria problems smh."
Another person added, "If maria goes home i’m going to be pissed of." Another X user penned, "Idk tht I'll be able to take much more of this tom. If Maria goes home I'm not gonna handle. I don't wanna watch the rest of these bitches get to enjoy their journey after that."
Another internet user penned, "If Maria actually chooses to go home because of bullying, Lea, Sydney, Jess and any other girl will reap what they sowed."

'The Bachelor' Season 28 star Sydney plans to get Maria eliminated
In the latest episode of 'The Bachelor' Season 28, the ongoing feud between Sydney Gordan and Maria Georgas' took center stage. Joey extended an invitation for a two-on-one date with Sydney and Maria. However, Sydney expressed her desire for Joey to eliminate Maria, stating, "Spending the whole day with Maria is like spending the whole day with the devil."
In a confessional, Sydney claimed, "My body is taking a toll from the anxiety that she has caused," and added, "I had stomach issues of the intense stress of just walking into a room and not knowing when she’s going to attack me." She allegedly tried to manipulate Joey against Maria and told him, "When you left the pool party, like, hell broke loose."
She added, "Maria started attacking me in front of the group and this was like, the first time the girls were trying to step in and then she told Lea to 'shut the f**k up.'" Sydney further accused, "I can guarantee that every single situation in the house, there’s been one common denominator and that has been Maria repeatedly being disrespectful."
Maria Georgas calls out Sydney during a 2-on-1 date
After a conversation with Sydney Gordan, Joey sought out Maria Georgas to hear both sides of the story. Directly addressing Maria, he asked, "Did you tell Lea to "shut the f**k up?'" Maria, visibly surprised, responded, "Absolutely not!" She added, "I would never say that." Joey, seemingly convinced by Maria's denial, reassured her, "I'm not expecting all of you guys to be friends." He further noted that he wanted all the women to be comfortable. Following Joey's departure, Maria confronted Sydney about her false accusation. Expressing frustration, Maria asserted, "You've made up some BS this entire time but like, I told Lea to 'shut the f**k up?' I told Lea?" Maria added, "Yeah, you know we’re on camera the entire time, right?"
New episode of 'The Bachelor' Season 28 will air on Tuesday, February 13 at 8 pm ET on ABC.
