BATON ROGUE, LOUISIANA: Madison Brooks, who died after being struck by a car and allegedly raped by four men prior to the fatal accident reportedly worked at the bar where she got ‘drunk.’ The Reggie’s Bar, where she was allegedly employed and met the suspect rapists had a reputation for serving underage. The license of the bar has been suspended, just like in 2017, when 37 people were arrested for underage drinking by the authorities.

The 19-year-old was seen leaving Reggie’s Bar, located in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in a ‘drunken state’ before leaving with the suspects. Brooks had been a regular and she was spotted behind the bar with her two LSU Alpha Phi sorority sisters, who were also employed at the same place, as per photographs posted on social media. DailyMail obtained photographs, that show the blonde smiling behind the bar with two friends, while the snap was captioned ‘three little Reggie’s workers.’ It also offered cover for any girls who have been part of a sorority to offer them cheap drinks, a business move to reach out to more college students.

The controversial bar had been in the news for several past incidents, including a 19-year-old man who was charged with rape after assaulting an intoxicated woman while leaving Reggie's in 2015. In the year 2016, the Reggie’s witnessed Dillon Gordon, 22, an LSU soccer player, stabbed when he was attacked multiple times. In another incident, Carltez Tucker, a 16-year-old boy, was shot outside the bar, reports MEAWW. Casen Carver, 18, Kaivon Washington, 18, and Everett Lee, are all arrested on rape-related charges together with an unnamed 17-year-old boy.

The Reggie's Bar also hit the headlines after it imposed a 'dress code' to gain access to the bar. It published a list of 13 prohibited items, including 'overly' baggy clothing and long T-shirts, all-white tennis shoes, hoodies, and jean shorts. However, many of them raised their voices, claiming that the new dress code was extremely racist. At this point, Darin claimed, "It's the people who don't come to the bars that are causing the problems." The bar also made headlines after serving drinks in cups with the Confederate flag printed on them.

Documents related to the arrest suggest that Brooks had a blood alcohol level of 0.319% at the time of her death. This indicates that she was severely inebriated since her blood alcohol level was nearly four times the legal limit.
