Woman jogs right past scene of car crash that killed husband thinking 'he had a lucky escape' only to be proved wrong
A devastated widow has spoken about how she went jogging right past a terrible accident that actually killed her "kind-hearted" husband without realizing that he was the victim who met his "tragic" demise at the scene. Jacqui Saunders recalled how she even tried to tell call and tell her husband about the tragic scene she had witnessed on his route to work but she hadn't managed to get through to him.
She said: "I thought I should ring him to say you've had a lucky escape — only to find he hadn't, it was him. He didn't deserve this tragic ending."
The 50-year-old woman said that she also ended up missing the inquest into the death of her husband because the coroner's court called her and told her it was going ahead with it just 15 minutes before it took place.
