'So You Think You Can Dance' season 16: Desi Saenz's 'incredible' audition is a hit with fans

There was one hip-hop dancer who eventually emerged as a fan favorite right after her audition. And that was none other than Dezi Saenz.

Summer is almost here and Fox's 'So You Think You Can Dance' season 16 is right on time to keep us entertained.

Kicking off on Monday, the series had a lot of new additions to it, and that includes two new judges. Starting off we got to see that the auditions all take place in Hollywood, and they don't travel to other cities like previous seasons.

There is also a new stage that is constructed with a flashy geometrical backdrop. But those weren't the standouts. The judges were among the most awaited in the show, and even though we got to see Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy take their seats as judges once again, Vanessa Hudgens and Stephen “tWitch” Boss were replaced by Laurieann Gibson and alum Dominic“D-Trix” Sandoval.

While the premiere did feature a host of talented dancers, there was someone in the lot whose first audition has endeared her to the fans. And that was none other than Dezi Saenz.

Saenz seemed to be nervous before her performance, but once the music starts she drowns herself into her moves and left everyone stunned, popping and locking to 'Thinking'. Charmed,  even before her performance could end, Gibson stood up from her seat cheering for the talented hip-hop dancer. After her performance, Gibson told Saenz: "That is the definition of a natural born gift."

Saenz needed only three yeses to move on to the next round, but luckily she received a yes from all the four judges. Though it is hard to predict if she will be able to pull off other styles, we will have to wait and see how she fares in the coming rounds.

After seeing her audition, fans had a lot to say about her performance as they revealed how stunned they were. "Phenomenal! My jaw dropped to the floor. Made me wish I were young again," wrote a fan on Twitter.

While another fan said, "GUUUUUURRRRLLLL!!! The PASSION! You warmed my heart! Omg you’re amazing!! I hope you go so far!! You ARE why I love this show!!"

"That was absolutely unbelievable. This could be one of the greatest auditions I’ve ever seen. #SYTYCD," chimed another fan.

'So You Think You Can Dance' airs every Tuesday on Fox. Check your listing for more information.
