LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It is widely recognized that Japanese anime adaptations of manga series have garnered an enormous following across the globe. Among the most acclaimed and popular anime titles in this category are 'Attack on Titan', 'Death Note', 'Naruto', and 'Pokemon'. Today we will look at 'Demon Slayer' which has garnered a lot of attention with its latest season. Season 3 of 'Demon Slayer' has begun its next major battle, featuring Tanjiro Kamado and the Upper Ranks of Muzan Kibutsuji. In the latest episode, viewers were shown the powers of the Upper Four, Hantengu. The 'Demon Slayer' anime has been adapting the 'Swordsmith Village Arc' from Koyoharu Gotoge's manga.

Initially, the anime spent a few episodes setting up the new status quo, with Tanjiro heading to the 'Swordsmith Village' to get a new sword after the events of Season 2. Now that 'Demon Slayer' Season 3 has established its new stage and reintroduced many characters, episode 3 has kicked things up a notch. Hantengu attacked Tanjiro, Nezuko, and the Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito. Although the demon did not appear as powerful as members of the Upper Ranks, his secret power was soon revealed, demonstrating why he was so high up in the demon hierarchy.

Hantengu's true power is invincibility 

In 'Demon Slayer' Season 3 Episode 3, we discover that Hantengu possesses impressive speed and agility, as evidenced by his quick evasion of Muichiro's initial attack. However, what's even more surprising is that he doesn't seem to mind being decapitated. In a manner similar to Daki, who survived decapitation due to Gyutaro hiding in her body, Hantengu can also divide himself into two demons with distinct personalities and abilities when beheaded.

The situation becomes even more dire when Genya joins the battle and beheads the two split Hantengus. This time, the severed halves transform into four separate demons, each with unique looks and powers. The Upper Ranks' abilities prove to be more formidable than even Tanjiro and his allies anticipated.

Where is 'Demon Slayer' Season 3 currently streaming?

The first episode of 'Demon Slayer' Season 3 was merged with episodes 10 and 11 of the 'Entertainment District Arc' to create a movie that was specially screened around the world as part of the 'Kimetsu no Yaiba - To the Swordsmith Village' world tour. Natsuki Hanae, who voices the protagonist Tanjiro, was a constant presence during the world tour.

'Demon Slayer' season 3 was officially confirmed to arrive on Netflix on May 1, 2023. The announcement was made through the official Demon Slayer Twitter account. The season's opening theme song, 'Kizuna no Kiseki,' is performed by the group MAN WITH A MISSION and singer-songwriter Milet.
