The Titans are headed to Gotham for Season 3 and along the way, they'll be running into some familiar Gotham characters - chief among who will be Barbara Gordon - otherwise known as Batgirl. Also returning to the show in a new form is Jason Todd (Curran Walters), who will be moving on from his Robin identity to take on the mantle of the Red Hood.

In the DC FanDome 'Titans' panel on August 22, the cast and executive producer Greg Walker went over the fan-favorite moments from the first two seasons, before talking about the events of season 3. There was some talk of the new villain coming to the series - Blackfire (Damans Lewis) - who will apparently be getting her own room in Wayne Manor. She won't be alone, however, as the rest of the Titans be joining her in Gotham.

With the move to Gotham, however, come a lot of familiar Gotham characters. Walker teased one of the more iconic Batvillains in Johnathan Crane, the Scarecrow, before confirming the rumor that Gordon would be joining the cast. Walker talked about how Gotham would be focused on the next generation, which Gordon would be carrying on from her police commissioner father. He also teased another major villain - with Todd leaving the team at the end of season 2, and moving on to a new, mature and much more dangerous identity: the Red Hood.

In the comics, Todd took on the Red Hood identity after being killed by the Joker and resurrected in the Lazarus Pits. The trauma of that ordeal - put the belief that he had been abandoned by Batman and had him taking on the more violent persona. Todd remains the violent, reckless, black sheep of the Batfamily, being the only one comfortable with using guns, as well as more comfortable with operating outside of the law with a ruthless attitude, ready to get things done.

There is no release date yet set for Season 3 of 'Titans,' but the series is already set to be one of the most interesting ones yet. The 'Titans' panel Encore airs August 23 at 2:50 am and 10:50 am, EST.
