The 47th Daytime Emmy Awards saw 'The View' win Best Informative Talk Show. The hit ABC show beat other nominees in the category including 'The 3rd Hour of Today' (NBC), 'Rachael Ray' (Syndication), 'Red Table Talk' (Facebook Watch) and 'Today with Hoda & Jenna' (NBC). The awards were hosted by Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba and Marie Osmond, the hosts of CBS' daytime talk show 'The Talk'.

On the win, Sunny Hostin, in her acceptance speech said: "I envision a world that seeks to reign above pettiness, divisiveness, and hatred. I envision a world, not of fences and barriers but a world where these protests lead to equality and the recognition of humanity for each, regardless of skin color."

There were mixed responses from fans after the announcement. "I'm beyond excited for 'The View'. This year you all have gone above and beyond each and every day. Thank you Whoopi, Joy, Sunny and Meghan. It’s all 4 of you together that made this award possible" a fan tweeted. "YAY! Congratulations!!!!" wrote another. "Congratulations ladies of The View! One of my favorite shows," a fan said. "WooHoo!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS Ladies!! @JoyVBehar @WhoopiGoldberg @sunny @MeghanMcCain," a fan tweet read.

"Congratulations!!! I never miss a show. I always have my DVR set!! Well deserved ladies and gents!!!" a fan congratulated. "Yes, yes, yes congratulations to you all. Watching you every day from #Aruba, #OneHappyIsland, and loving it. Keep up the great work and broadcasting," read a tweet.

Some, however, weren't happy. "Congratulations to everyone except Meghan!" a fan said. "Bummer! I was rooting for Hoda and Jenna," a fan wrote. "This just sunk anything going good for the Emmys tonight," a tweet read. "The word went downhill after Barbara Walters left," a fan tweeted. "Good God, who the hell is voting" asked a shocked fan. 'The View' has won a whopping 30 Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show Host. The idea of the show was conceived by broadcast journalist Barbara Walters.

The 47th Daytime Emmy Awards is streaming live on CBS marking the first time the ceremony has aired on network television in years.
