If the rumor does indeed turn out to be true, Daredevil's ally, Echo will make a debut in an upcoming Disney+ show. According to reports from MCU Direct and Murphy's Multiverse, Echo would be gearing up for an appearance and a casting call sheet with specific instructions has been doing the rounds.

According to Comicbook, the sheet looks at a character, Malia in their 20s. The character would be deaf and native American. Knowledge of American sign language was part of the role and the project is slated to go on floors this Fall.

On its part, Marvel Studios is pretty quiet about the news at the moment, but the buzz on social media has already begun. "We should’ve had her when they decided to do the Ronin mantle stuff tsk tsk," a fan wrote. "How and when would they have introduced her as Ronin literally just happened in Endgame? If anything Echo will appear in the Hawkeye series taking the name of Ronin as she does in the comics,"  one of the fans theorized.

"Even tho she's massively connected to Daredevil and kingpin, I think they'll use her as Ronin instead of a way to introduce Daredevil," wrote a fan. "I thought that said “A new casting call for #Daredevil” I almost had a heart attack," a fan tweeted. "My heart almost stopped... anyways #savedaredevil," a fan tweet read.

While there are no big releases from Marvel Studios, for the time being, fans are eagerly awaiting the production of Disney+ show, 'The Falcon and The Winter Soldier', to resume production after it was halted following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. The other rumor was that 'WandaVision' would resume filming this July as well.

For now, the next big outing for Marvel will be the release of Scarlett Johansson's 'Black Widow' on November 6, followed by 'The Eternals' on February 12, 2021. With the San Diego Comic-Con scheduled between July 22-26, there are hopes to know a little more about new show developments.
