'Dancing With The Stars': Skai gets season's first 10 with tribute to Cameron Boyce, fans say 'well deserved'

Skai Jackson was emotional today as she dedicated her performance to her longtime Disney pal Cameron Boyce, who died on July 6, 2019

Disney Channel is known for being a tight-knit family and it was no surprise that many of them were shocked when the news of Cameron Boyce's death hit the media. Skai Jackson was no different. The reality star was extremely close to the actor as they had worked in Disney together. 

The Disney star was found dead on July 6, 2019. Cameron had been suffering from epilepsy for a long time, and it was later revealed that might have been the cause of his death. He had managed to win the hearts of many by appearing on various shows, but unfortunately, it was short-lived. 

Skai had even taken to her social media to express her emotions after hearing the sad news. She also opened up about the loss on the show as she admitted Cameron had been a big part of her life while she was growing up. Having a chance to work with him on the show, Skai said he had been there for half her life and it was emotional for her to find out that he was no more. 

However, she always has him close to her heart as her phone cover is a picture of him with her. In the latest episode (October 5), Skai was emotional but made sure she gave a stunning performance. She performed foxtrot and gave judges a taste of who she really is as a dancer. 

They were dazzled by her performance and all of them thought she was back in the game. Carrie Ann Inaba gave her a 10, making it the first 10 of the season. Meanwhile, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough gave her a nine. It was the highest score she had received this season and fans thought she deserved it.

"Skai and Alan Foxtrot I can definitely guarantee that Cameron Boyce is so for sure proud of Skai. That was her best dance so far, and I knew it would be for all the right reasons. The most stunning. BUT THAT 10!!!!!!!!!! AND THOSE NINES!!!!!! SO WELL DESERVED," wrote another.
