While there are still a few months left for the series to premiere, here's everything you need to know about the forthcoming season of 'Dancing With The Stars'

It’s time to rejoice as 'Dancing With The Stars' returns for season 28. After what feels like ages, the series will be returning to our screens in September. 

The series decided to skip its usual spring season and left many wondering about its return. This marks the first time the series has done so since 2007. For those who aren't aware, 'Dancing With The Stars' is the US version of UK's 'Strictly Come Dancing' 

While there are still a few months left for the series to premiere, here's everything you need to know about the forthcoming season of 'Dancing With The Stars'. 

Release Date

'Dancing With The Stars' season 28 will premiere on September 16, 2019, on ABC. 

Plot

'Dancing With The Stars' revolves around a celebrity who is paired with a professional dancer. Every week each couple performs predetermined dances routines and compete against each other for judges' points and audience votes. The couple who receives the lowest votes after combining the total points received by judges and audience votes is eliminated each week until only one pair remains. The last surviving pair gets crowned as the champions of the season.

Cast

Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli can be expected to return as judges again for season 28. As for the couples, the series is yet to reveal the details. Be sure to check back soon and we will keep this space updated. 

Hosts

Tom Bergeron has been the series' host since its premiere in 2005, but his co-host has changed over the past few seasons, and we are to find out who will be co-hosting season 28 along with him.  It is yet to be revealed if Erin Andrews will be joining him back again this year as the co-host.
