Season 29 of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ is only a week away from concluding. In tonight, November 16, episode, each celebrity contestant was personally mentored by one of the judges to redeem themselves by performing to one dance form they failed to execute well earlier in the season. Each couple needs to perform two sets of dances to escape the double elimination.

The Judges’ Redemption Dance round perhaps meant more to Johhny Weir and Britt Stewart more than others as they found themselves in the bottom two despite a “perfect score”, because of the lack of votes. Carrie Ann Inaba, Johnny and Britt’s mentor, for the week chose salsa for their redemption round. She wanted to see if Johnny could deliver better performance for the same dance form as he only received a score of 22 when he tried it previously.

Johnny himself said that it was rather hard and worrying to be in the bottom two despite great scores and how he had to make the most in the second attempt in salsa. Even though Johny gave his all, his performance did suffer a few setbacks. The judges noted that he missed a few steps and they couldn’t see the fluidity they expected, although he had improved a lot compared to his previous performance to salsa. They received a total of  27, and fans soon took to Twitter to express their concern over his average score, considering that he’s in the semi-finals. A few also pointed out that the mistakes and a tough routine could cost him a lot.

Urging fans to vote one tweeted, "Guys ignore the mistakes Johnny made and still vote for him #DWTS." Another said, "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE vote for my boy Johnny! he deserves to be here and it breaks my heart to see him in the bottom 2 #DWTS." One wrote: "Johnny did Improve but there was a misstep not his best dance  but it was still a nice dance and he did improve overall good job #DWTS My Score: 9."
