'Dancing With The Stars': Tyra Banks messes up introduction speech, fans slam host for bringing 'show down'

Instead of mentioning 'redemption round' in her introduction speech, she called it the 'elimination round'

Tyra Banks had a hard time getting people to accept her as the new host when she joined 'Dancing With The Stars'. Even though people had seen her hosting skills for other reality shows, many were not ready to accept her on this show. Unfortunately, it looks like some things are unchanged. Even though the show has reached its semi-finale with six contestants, fans of the show still can't get over how Trya has been acting as the host. In the latest episode, which aired on November 16, Tyra messed up her introduction speech when she was set to introduce Nev Schulman for the redemption round. 

Instead of mentioning "redemption round" in her introduction speech, she messed up by calling it the "elimination round." She tried to fix her mistake but had a hard time getting back on track. Finally, she managed to get a hold of herself and continued with the hosting. However, by then, fans were quick to react to the mess up. "I hate Tyras clipped rat a tat speech. So annoying the way she spits out numbers and words. Producers, have you been paying attention? It's pretty unanimous that we want Tyra gone & @Tom_Bergeron back. I know she’s an exec prod now but the shows lost its heart. We need Tom!" one wrote wishing the old host comes back on the show. 



 



 

"TYRA. You have overstayed your not welcome. You bring the show down. THIS SHOW IS NOT ABOUT YOU. Fade out," said another. "TYRA GIRL! GET IT TOGETHER," wrote another. "Damn Tyra trying to eliminate Nev before he even dances," another joked. This is not the first time Tyra has been criticized. 



 



 

Previously, fans pointed out how Tyra was trying to make the show all about her. They were not impressed to see the occasional catwalk session Tyra had on the show along with her changing the outfits numerous times on one episode. The reality star even responded to the backlash and admitted there were some things she needed to work on. Tyra hinted that the shoes for the host of the shoe were hard to fill, while adding that she would work better. Unfortunately, it does not look like viewers are still impressed. 

'Dancing With The Stars' airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
