'Dancing With The Stars' season 28, episode 2: Ally Brooke claps back at her bullies in style

After watching Ally break down on live television and share about being bullied fans took to Twitter and sent their love and support for the contestant.
UPDATED SEP 24, 2019

'Dancing With The Stars' season 28 returned, with the contestants entering their first elimination round.  The reality tv competition returned on Monday night for episode 2, after the series introduced the celebrity cast and their pro partners last week. During tonight's episode, the show had its first elimination with a new voting process. The bottom two pairs to get the lowest votes faced elimination, as the judges got to save one pair, eliminating the other.

Last week we saw James Van Der Beek and Bachelorette Hannah Brown take lead as frontrunners and the ones to watch out for this season. We also saw Sailor Brinkley-Cook step in for her mother Christie Brinkley after she suffered an injury. In the bottom two, last week were Lamar Odom and Sean Spicer.

So, this week amidst all the performances we witnessed Ally Brooke stand up to her haters who bullied her during her time in Fifth Harmony. She shared how haters online mocked her for her dancing skills and how that broke her confidence. But now on DWTS, she is ready to prove herself.

Performing a Viennese waltz routine, Ally and her partner Sasha Farber swooped around the dance floor impressing the judges and fans. After their performance, Carrie Ann and Bruno raved about their performance, while Len Goodman, as usual, slammed the dance claiming it isn't technically good.  Carrie Ann tells Ally, "You are a dancer. To the haters: Booyah!" After their liberating performance, the pair got an overall score of 20/30 and their overall two-week score was 36/60.

After watching Ally break down on live television and open up about her being bullied, fans took to Twitter and shared their love and support for the contestant. ".@AllyBrooke I have no words to tell you how proud I am of your achievements. I'm here cheering and voting for you. keep being who i believe in you! I love you with all my heart #TeamTime2Shine #DWTS," wrote a fan.
