Dan Rather says Trump doesn't like postal service because it delivers, tickled fans call him 'king of 2020'

President Trump has expressed his dislike towards the idea of mail-in voting claiming the method is 'inaccurate and fraudulent'

As the fatalities from the novel coronavirus continue to surge in the US, the November elections are likely to witness mail-in voting, according to experts and reports. President Donald Trump, however, has expressed his dislike towards the idea claiming that this voting system is "inaccurate and fraudulent". He shared a string of tweets blasting mail-in voting. 

He wrote in one, “Mail-In Voting is already proving to be a catastrophic disaster. Even testing areas are way off. The Dems talk of foreign influence in voting, but they know that Mail-In Voting is an easy way for foreign countries to enter the race. Even beyond that, there’s no accurate count!”

Another tweet read, "The 2020 Election will be totally rigged if Mail-In Voting is allowed to take place, & everyone knows it. So much time is taken talking about foreign influence, but the same people won’t even discuss Mail-In election corruption. Look at Patterson, N.J. 20% of vote was corrupted!"

On witnessing the president's reaction to the idea of mail-in voting, Dan Rather took to Twitter to once again present his opinion about Trump's latest antics. The news anchor wrote, "Perhaps Donald Trump doesn’t like the Postal Service because it delivers."

This isn't the first time Rather has used such an opportunity to take a dig at Trump. Previously, he garnered similar attention for using Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' reference to spread awareness about the importance of wearing a mask when POTUS refused to wear one.

Following his response to Trump's tweets suggesting the ruling out of mail-in voting, Rather's fans once again started trending him on Twitter as they couldn't stop raving about him being witty and sharing laughter in these catastrophic times. One said, "Dan Rather is the best punch line rapper of 2020. Not close. Consistent bars."

One surprised fan wrote, "Wow, I never would have guessed in 2020 Dan Rather would be capable of doling out a efficient and hard BURN and yet here we are..."

A few thanked Rather for making 2020 better for them by offering his interesting opinion about worldly happenings. One thrilled fan expressed, "One thing that I do love about 2020 is Dan Rather out here throwing zinger."

One wrote, "So who had Dan Rather as the King of 2020?"

Meanwhile, his post is also met with a few concerning reactions as a lot of people have explained how the president meddling with the postal services could impact them. One agitated Twitter user wrote, "Why are there no calls for Trump's immediate removal?! His attack on the Post Office is an attack on the American people who need their medicine, pension checks, Social Security checks, food, medical supplies. To slow & cripple the mail is an attack. Where is the outrage?"

Reportedly, ending overtime pay, shutting down sorting machines early and similar measures have already led to backlogs in the postal service, according to Vanity Fair. Workers are worried about how the new policy is going to treat their service. One postal worker reportedly told Washington Post, "I’m a little frightened. By the time political season rolls around, I shudder to think what it’s going to be like.”
