NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ meteorologist Al Roker had much to be grateful for on Thanksgiving as NBC host shared a snap on Instagram showing him attending the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with his family including granddaughter Sky Clara.
The heartfelt photos came as Roker’s wife, Deborah Roberts, shared a throwback photo of his scary hospitalization last year.
She captioned the post, 'Friday flashback. What a difference a year and a whole lotta blessings make! #thankful beyond words @alroker #grateful #heart'.
The beloved weather reporter returned to Macy’s Thanksgiving after missing it last year due to health struggles.
Moreover, Roker is celebrating his return to health as he hosted the Thanksgiving Parade after missing it for the first time in nearly 30 years.
Al Roker shares rare photo of granddaughter Sky Clara
On Thursday, the 69-year-old Roker posed in a photo with most of his family in an Instagram post, celebrating his granddaughter Sky's first Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The ‘Today’ host stood in the middle as his family posed around him, with a parade balloon visible behind them.
Roker’s wife, Deborah Roberts, and their son, Nick, joined the gathering.

Courtney, Roker’s daughter from a previous marriage, attended with her husband, Wes Laga, and their daughter, Sky, who sat in a baby sling on Wes' chest.
Roker and Deborah's daughter, Leila, was not in the picture and did not appear to attend the parade.
Sky was clad in a multi-colored one-piece jacket and pants, while her dad held a pair of pink headphones, likely intended for her use if the parade became too loud.
