Terri Irwin has been vocal about not having Steve Irwin beside her on their daughter Bindi Irwin's big day. However, she has managed to live each day knowing that his presence will always be around them. In the latest episode (April 18) of 'Crikey! It's The Irwins', Terri revealed that she met Steve by fluke.

She admitted that she had never imagined meeting the love of her life when she decided to go visit the zoo. Terri recalled the first time she lay her eyes on Steve. She remembered Steve was standing and feeding the crocodile and looking at how committed he was to his work, Terri realized there was another person who loved animals as much as she did.

She admitted the universe had brought them together. The show also shared a throwback clip that showcased Steve opening up about the first time he met Terri. Steve could be seen being excited at the thought of their first meeting as he recalled that his heart went "bang bang bang" when his eyes met with Terri.

Terri further revealed that the timing of their meeting had been perfect because both of them had been single at that time. The two soon went on a date and their first date had a remarkable memory as it was also the time when the pair fell deeply in love with each other. Terri recalled that on their first date she had something on her elbow and without thinking twice, she reached for her elbow and ate what was there.

She remembered Steve looking at her and just smiling while adding, "Gosh, you are not ladylike at all". Terri thought this was the best advice one could give for a new couple. She admitted that for any marriage to last, it is important for both of them to be true to themselves.

There is no doubt that Terri and Steve's wedding has always been an example for Bindi. She even admitted innumerable times in the episode how she could see her relationship working as well as the relationship between Steve and Terri had been. While Steve and Terri have had their moments and a wonderful marriage, it is now time for Bindi to start one of her own.
