COWETA COUNTY, GEORGIA: A boyfriend of a Georgia mother, who was arrested in 2019 for allegedly killing her two-year-old son, has been charged with the toddler’s murder. In October 2019, Trinity Grace Pittman was arrested by Coweta County deputies and charged with the murder of Connor Pittman.

Her arrest came after the infant was brought to a hospital with a broken jaw, cuts, and bruises on his face, missing teeth, and bleeding on his brain. Connor’s abdomen was also full of blood and he died at the hospital.

Police now believe that Trinity’s boyfriend Jeremy Davis was also involved in the child’s murder. They have charged him with murder, child cruelty, and aggravated battery. Authorities believe that the 25-year-old allegedly beat Connor when he was left in his care while the mother was at work.

Davis’ arrest report stated that the toddler’s bruises showed evidence of both new and old wounds consistent with physical abuse that took place over time. It mentioned that the accused broke Connor’s jaw and also allegedly contributed to exacerbating his existing brain damage including internal bleeding.

Trinity had initially claimed that Connor injured himself while playing on the trampoline. However, after being questioned by the investigators, she admitted that since she was angry with him because he had soiled his diaper and was refusing to listen to her, she lost her cool and hit him numerous times. During the time, the child also fell on the floor and hit his head against the concrete at their home.

At the time, she also said that when Connor fell asleep the same day, she left him and his four-year-old sister in the care of Davis while she went to work. "Trinity Pittman exhibited general disregard for the welfare of her own child, Conner Perry, and acted out of personal spite towards the child leading to physical injury," her arrest warrant mentioned. She was pressed with the charges of felony murder and first-degree child cruelty and was being held without bond in the Coweta County Jail.

According to court records, as stated by The Sun, the night when Davis was looking after the kids, he sent Trinity a picture of Connor eating a snack at around 7 pm. That same night, the toddler developed breathing problems and was rushed to the hospital. The court records stated that with jaw injuries “there was no way a child could attempt to eat with such a massive wound to his mouth and face." That reportedly indicted that Davis hit the child after the picture was sent. He has also been held in the Coweta County Jail without bond.

In another incident, a Kentucky man was sentenced for nearly a year after he tried to sell his girlfriend’s child for $2,500 at a gas station while high on drugs. On August 16, Harry Day was trying to sell the four-year-old child at the Speedy Mart in Corbin when local police got a call.

Soon police tracked the 29-year-old man down to his home where he was found living with his 26-year-old girlfriend, Gertrude Hinson, and the child. The house reportedly belonged to Hinson. In a statement, Kentucky State Police said: “While at the residence troopers found Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia." Day was charged with promoting human trafficking of a child under the age of 18. He also faced charges related to impaired driving. After pleading guilty to promoting human trafficking charge, he was given 360 days in jail while his impaired driving charges were dropped under a plea agreement.
