Jessa revealed that when Henry was 18 months old they worried that he wasn't communicating as he should.

In this week's episode of 'Counting On', some of the Duggar family members opened up about the hardships of being a mother as Jessa Duggar expressed her worries about her son, Henry Wilberforce Seewald, who she thought was not developing at the age that he should.

She and her husband Ben decided to head to the doctor to find out if something was wrong with Henry. Jessa revealed that when Henry was 18 months old they worried that he wasn't communicating as he should. Even though Jessa and Ben knew that every child develops their skills at their own pace, they grew worried when they felt like Henry was not catching on as he should. "He was not able to fully communicate what he wanted," she said. "A lot of time it is grunts and pointing."

Meanwhile, Jeremy and Jinger also gave insight into their parenting as she added that she too compares her daughter, Felicity to "other kids of her age". Jinger revealed that it is quite common for parents to compare their child to another and see if they are crawling at the same time or speaking at the same rate.

However, she advised that it is best not to do that a lot as it does not benefit anyone. Jinger also reflected on the hardships of being a mother and how society pressures women into looking like a perfect women figure. "I think there is a lot of pressure on moms for them to do and be everything," she said.

The producers asked her if there was something that they had to give up after becoming parents and Jinger did not hesitate to answer as she quickly responded with "sleep" as the answer. Kendra Duggar also agreed with this as she revealed that after her first pregnancy she too often had nights when she wouldn't sleep.

Meanwhile, Jessa and Ben were given the good news that Henry was perfectly fine and just needed some time before he could catch up with the other children of his age.

'Counting On' airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm on TLC.
